THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This stunning mantel radio has been in my collection for over 15 years. I fell in love with it at a Rochester, NY radio meet, primarily due to its circa design, its fine woodwork including its wood back, and its intricate scrolling on both sides and its top. The brass plates for volume and tuning and the "WINGS" name tag jump out at you from the cabinet's walnut tinting.
The case is very clean, with an original chassis, speaker, and resistance line cord. The set is untested. I did open it long enough to observe its tubes and original caps. I tested the line cord and it is working properly. I have several resistor line cord sets and never play them due to their intrinsic heat generation. I buy radios primarily for the artwork and design from another era. Priced right. Hurry. |
