THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a beautiful late-1930s wood set made by Troubador, a rare manufacturer. Throughout all the radio guides I own, I was not able to find the name. Our Radio Attic archives does show this model as having once been sold on this site. This set has been completely gone over electronically and plays well. The top of the cabinet has a minor loss of polycoat, common due to tube heat. Easily improved. The bottom right side corner also has very minor splintering of veneer as the cabinet turns. Overall, the set plays and displays very well. The cabinet also has a red-tinted wood inlay on both the top and bottom of the set (see pictures). In all, a well-designed and well-made radio relic. Priced to sell swiftly at
