Sparton 1268 "Selectronne" Console (1937/1938)

Sparton 1268 "Selectronne" Console (1937/1938)
NEW!SALE!  This is an absolutely beautiful and rare radio. With twelve tubes, it's a great performer, having a tuned RF amp, two IF stages, Automatic-Frequency-Control, "Selectronne" Automatic Tuning (it works) and a Magic Eye "viso-glo" tuning indicator (new). The multi-colored dial has three bands, one standard broadcast and two shortwave. It delivers excellent sound quality, achieved through the use of a pair of type 45 triodes operated in push-pull, driving a large 12-inch electro-dynamic loudspeaker. Complete electronic restoration was performed (see the "how I restore radios" link on my main page). The finish is super-smooth semi-gloss lacquer, showing all the different veneers that were used (Australian Laurel, Maple, English and American Walnut). Grille cloth is new reproduction, original knobs, missing one pushbutton cover. The chassis is very clean and rust free (pics available). Aux input cable (iPod, CD player, etc.) has been added. Bluetooth receiver included for free. Impressive at 42"H x 25"W x 14"D. Prefer pickup in Central VA but Greyhound is available.  Was $1,995.00, now $1,895.00.
All my radios include an aux input cable so you can play your favorite tunes or Old Time Radio shows using CD player, computer, iPod, etc. They are installed with no damage to the chassis or cabinet. A high quality Bluetooth receiver is included for free ($25 value) so you can stream tunes from your phone, laptop, etc. This is a very popular option, and has range of about 30 feet. I will remove the cable if you don't want it.
