This was designed to be used with household electricity, but also in rural areas without electric service (farm radio). In that case a 6-volt battery could power it. I have removed the 6-volt cable so this operates on 120 VAC line power only. It is a six-tube set, and works extremely well, receiving the AM Broadcast band and Short Wave (requires a short wire antenna, supplied). It had a faux finish (photo-finish paper that looks like walnut) that was removed at some point and then it was beautifully refinished with a piano like walnut finish. It has had a complete electronics tuneup with all new capacitors; tubes and resistors checked and replaced as needed. Uses a short wire antenna (included). Has original wood knobs and dial, grille cloth is reproduction. Aux input cable was added so you can plug in an iPod, CD player, etc. and play audio through the radio. Bluetooth receiver can be added and you can stream your tunes from your phone, computer, etc. 90 day warranty. About 17-1/2"H x 13-3/4"W x 9-1/2"D.
