Stromberg-Carlson radios sold!

Stromberg-Carlson 225-H (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 225-H (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This marvelous Art Deco styled set was made by Stromberg-Carlson in Rochester, NY. It features a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood cabinet that has the original finish! The maple inlay, sided by oak and walnut, is a beautiful combination of veneers. A tulip motif of the ebony grille with original grille cloth and the octagonal dial make this radio stand out! It was not touched up at all, and was obviously very well cared for. It is a large tabletop with the trademark Stromberg-Carlson octagonal dial. This model is highly desired and relatively expensive, as they are rare and very Art Deco. A five-tube set, it receives the AM Broadcast band and two shortwave bands. Plays loudly and clearly on all bands. The chassis had never been worked on, and my extensive electronics restoration (replace filters and paper caps, check resistors and tubes, align, etc.) has been done; it is warranted for 90 days. Aux input cable (iPod, CD player, etc.) has been added (did not change the cabinet or chassis in any way). Bluetooth receiver can be added for $25 and you can stream your tunes from your phone, computer, etc. Weighs 19 pounds, 16"W x 9-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.
