This is a very attractive radio featuring a waterfall top, curved sides and speaker grille. It would look great in any room. It was the top of the line for Firestone in 1940, retailing for $34.95. Featuring seven tubes, (including a working magic-eye tube) and Super-Heterodyne design, it has the Broadcast band and one Short Wave band. It has a built-in loop antenna that works very well, and connecting a short wire antenna will improve reception for short wave. Never offered before on the Radio Attic, it has been completely recapped, all resistors and tubes checked and replaced as needed, and alignment done. Has pushbuttons for station select, and they work. Very nice original finish with no issues, but I did touch up the shoulders and base. Finish is a bit darker than shown due to lighting used. Original knobs, lighted dial and speaker in perfect condition. Chassis pics available, email for them. 90 day warranty. Aux input cable (iPod, CD player, etc.) has been added, and can be used with a Bluetooth receiver to stream tunes to the radio from your phone or other Bluetooth equipped device. Impressive at 15-1/2"W x 13"H x 8"D.
