This vintage early 50s AM/FM radio is ready for you to add to your collection. Sparton was the brand name for the Sparks-Withington Co. in Jackson, Michigan. It is an AC Operated eight-Tube
superheterodyne receiver with loop antenna. The cabinet looks to have the original finish and
is in great condition. The chassis has been restored and looks very nice. It has powerful and clear sound due to the 6" x 9" PM elliptical speaker and 6V6 power output stage. The electronics are restored and original except for some tubes and replaced capacitors and resistors under the chassis. Knobs, dial scale and grille cloth appear to be original. Aux (iPod, CD player, etc.) input can be added for $50. 90 day warranty applies. Weighs 20 pounds, 16"W x 12"H x 10"D. |
