THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a fine looking and playing cathedral radio, ready for you to proudly display and listen to. A classic, it is a five tube superhet receiver, and covers the AM (broadcast) band (530-1500 KC), and the Police band (1.5 - 4.0 MC). I think it is the early 1936 model, but it could have been made in 1935. Philco used the same model both years. The cabinet was restored using the finest toning and clear lacquers. It is a fantastic finish, the best I have ever seen on this model. The radio plays very well with just a short antenna. The electronics are restored and original except for some tubes and replaced capacitors and resistors under the chassis. The chassis looks as nice as the cabinet. Knobs, dial scale and grille cloth appear to be original. Aux (iPod, CD player, etc.) input can be added for $75. 90 day warranty applies. Weighs 16 pounds, 16-1/2"H x 13"W x 8-1/2"D. |
