| This vintage Zenith 6-S-27 was, in my opinion, the nicest tombstone cabinet design made by
Zenith during the Golden Age of Radio. It has been electronically and cosmetically restored. It
works very well, and covers broadcast and shortwave (to 18 MC) in three bands. The cabinet was refinished prior to my purchasing the radio over ten years ago, and it was an excellent job. Note that it is a bit darker than shown in the pictures due to the camera flash. The electronics are restored and original except for some tubes and all the replaced capacitors and some resistors under the chassis. The chassis looks almost as nice as the cabinet; I take great pride in restoring the entire radio, not just what is normally seen. The cabinet has no patches, dial is excellent, original 49-117AB (expensive) speaker and knobs. This very large and impressive radio would be a wonderful addition to any collection. 30 day warranty applies. iPod® input can be added for $75. 22-5/8"H x 16-1/2"W x 13"D. |
