THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This little radio from 1939 has five tubes packed into a small cabinet, has been restored and performs very well with the internal loop antenna. It is a "thumbdial" design and is Broadcast Band only. This received a complete tuneup (capacitors replaced, tubes and resistors checked and replaced as needed, IFs peaked, full alignment) and will provide years of trouble-free service. The cabinet was restored (not by me) and looks decent, but there are a few runs and abrasions. But it still has the original decorative decals (often missing), displays well, chassis is clean, grille cloth is reproduction. 30 day warranty applies. iPod connection can be added for $75. This very collectible and rare radio is a nice size for the workbench or kitchen! Weighs only 6 pounds; 9-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 6"D. |
