THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Zenith "Glass Rod" radio was marketed as "The Worlds Fair Special" for the 1939 model year. It has been beautifully refinished with correct toned and clear lacquers. It has been electronically restored to like new working condition. It has the original real glass rods and gold painted wooden rods, which together with the gold grille cloth provide a very attractive effect. The dial bezel is original, as are the pushbuttons, in fact everything about this set is about perfect! Plus, this is the model with a power transformer, preferable to the 6-D-317 which is an AC/DC set with a ballast tube. They don't get much nicer than this, so grab it while it is available! It would be a super addition to any collection, but especially a Zenith collection! Shipping weight 13 pounds. 14"W x 8-1/2"H x 8"D. |
