The "Synchrophase" is in many opinions, one of the most attractive of the mid 1920s table radios. It is a TRF broadcast band receiver with five 01A tubes (five good 01As included). This set has been beautifully refinished, and is working! The cabinet is truly stunning with all the wood grains. The inside is like new, extremely clean, and shows beautifully. This set is the rarer early model (the later models had "chains" so the three tuning knobs could be used in tandem with just one dial). The Grebe MU-1 featured "Binocular Coils," which were a stated improvement over other coils and a great marketing ploy, featuring "Dr MU." Includes the original instruction sheet inside the back (copy shown). This would be a super addition to any collection! Add the Victor Speaker I have in another listing and you would have an outstanding display pair! Shipping weight 28 pounds. 23"W x 9"H x 13"D. |
