THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This vintage Philco is a five tube superheterodyne radio with an original working clock! It looks much better than the pics show, as it's about impossible to photograph and see the dark walnut finish, because of the large white clock face (which fools the auto exposure of the camera, so I lightened some of the pics). The view from top shows the clock face without lightening; it is in excellent condition. There is a small flag in the opening that rotates as the clock runs. The finials look out of place with the gold color, but is correct. The radio has been electronically serviced, looks like the original finish (little thin on top), new grille cloth, works great & covers the broadcast band. It is complete with original speaker, knobs, etc. (best I can tell), has clear sound and is ready to enjoy! 22"H x 14"W x 8-1/2"D, shipping weight 30 pounds. |
