DeForest Crosley 1621 Tombstone (1935)

DeForest Crosley 1621 Tombstone (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This stunning tombstone was manufactured in Canada under license to the Rogers-Majestic Company. It is unique in that it has transparent backlit vertical bars on either side of the dial that indicate the incremental tone and volume levels. It is an absolutely beautiful radio with many different wood veneers: light and dark walnuts, tiger and mahogany, plus the metal trim pieces on the sides. It is better looking than the camera can capture due to the flash effect. For example, the picture of the front looks like the left side is lighter than the right, when in fact they are the same. It covers the broadcast band plus one shortwave band (6-16MC). It is a magnificent radio, and would be a highlight of your collection! It is large and quite heavy: shipping weight 36 pounds. 17-1/2:H x 12-3/4"W x 10"D.
