Detrola 302 "Triangle" Mini-Cathedral Clock Radio (1939)

Detrola 302 "Triangle" Mini-Cathedral Clock Radio (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This rare radio was introduced in the second half of 1939 for the 1940 season. It is a Broadcast Band Superheterodyne with five tubes: 12A8GT (mixer/LO), 12K7GT (IF amp), 12Q7GT (2nd det/AVC/1st Audio), 35L6GT (Audio output) and 35Z5GT (rectifier). It delivers great performance in a tiny package. No external antenna and no ground required, and works great with the built-in antenna. The clock works fine; the radio has been electronically (filter caps and all paper caps) and cosmetically restored. The finish is excellent, restored when I bought it (was told it is lacquer) and it displays great! It is better looking than most I have seen on the web. Chassis pics are available. This impressive and rare radio would be a great addition to your collection! 10"W x 9 1/4"H x 6"D, shipping weight is only 10 pounds.
