THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a very rare Zenith-made (Interocean branded) cathedral in totally restored condition. The C-10 is shown on page 123 of "Zenith Radio-The Early Years," by Cones & Bryant. In 1933, Zenith introduced a completely different product line which was built in the Zenith factory but was labeled "Interocean" and "Interocean Radio Corporation." These were Zenith sets in everything but name, the only difference being in the dial escutcheon and maybe one part. This C-10 is an extremely rare set; the only picture I have ever seen is of the one in the Blankenship collection, identical to this (see page 201). It works extremely well, and covers the broadcast band. The finish is an excellent restoration and displays very well. I replaced the filter caps and paper caps. This impressive and rare radio would be a super addition to any Zenith collection! 18"H x 16"W x 10"D; shipping weight is 30 pounds. |
