THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Atwater Kent metal "bath tub" radio. This is a very good, clean specimen of this radio, all original so far as I can tell, knobs excellent, battery cable a bit "shopworn." It is from 1926 and is one of the early "single dial" radios which simplified tuning. It is offered as found, unrestored, but appears it could be made operable if desired. It is complete with six UX201A globe RCA tubes. These are to some degree collector's items items in themselves but unfortunately, they are probably inoperable! One of the tubes has a "tested" sticker on it from a business in Kansas City. The brown area on the cabinet flange in the "bottom" photo is not rust. Strange reflection effect from flash photography! Inside finish is an olive green/brown paint. Have an AK E3 speaker that would go well with this radio, but it isn't near as good appearance-wise, not included. Only |
