Majestic "Charlie McCarthy" (1939)
(plastic tube table radio)

Majestic "Charlie McCarthy" (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a beautiful piece of history. Charlie was a ventriloquist's dummy, and Edgar Bergen was the ventriloquist who made him famous. He did thousands of vaudeville shows, had a radio program in the 30s and 40s. I even had the pleasure to see him on TV in the 50s. This radio plays loud and clear, all parts restored. Fresh paint, the little figure is made of metal, hand painted to match original colors. I made a clear Plexiglas back cover so you can see all the cool stuff inside. 7-1/2"W x 6"H x 6"D; 7 lbs packed.
