This is an excellent comm set for ham use or just for short wave listening. I replaced the filter caps and cleaned and lubed it. I ran the alignment and it receives loud and clear from the BC band up to 30 MHz with four bands. The dial is a tad off but it isn't a big deal. There is bandspread tuning, AVC, ANL and BFO for SSB reception. I can't receive any shortwave signals where I live so I tested the high bands with the signal generator. The signal strength meter works fine. It has eleven tubes including a voltage regulator. This model has a separate speaker and the correct one is included here. Also the entire manual is included. The assembly looks near professional, all solder joints look perfect. 17"W x 9"H x 10"D, speaker is 6"x6", about 33 lbs packed.
