Zenith 6-D-525 "Toaster" (1941)

Zenith 6-D-525 "Toaster" (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This is a very popular little Zenith pre-War six- tube superhet. It plays very loud and clear, it has wonderful sensitivity with the built in antenna; no external antenna is needed. I rebuilt the chassis entirely by restuffing the electrolytic filter with new caps, and replacing all paper caps with poly film or silver mica types. Also added X2 and Y2 safety caps. The chassis is not "hot;" it is isolated from the AC line. I replaced all dogbone and other resistors that were out of tolerance. New line cord and new dial lens. The knobs are original and flawless. The finish looks original, I only put a little furniture polish on it and it shines nicely. The stamp on the bottom looks like it says 6D526 but the cabinet style is a 525. I chalk that up to a factory goof. 12"W x 8"H x 7"D, about 13 pounds packed.
