THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a very rare little radio straight from the Depression era. Information on this one is very sparse and scarce. The chassis seems to be a Belmont 40, other than that I have no idea who marketed it. It is a four-tube TRF. I replaced all the capacitors and resistors and checked all the tubes. It plays with an outside antenna, brings in local stations fine, but not real loud. I don't think four-tube TRF's ever got too loud anyway. All tubes are globe type just as they were in 1933! 15-1/2"H x 12"W x 8"D. About 22 lbs packed. |
