THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
From the height of the depression era comes this cute little Philco superhet. Just a slight improvement from the earlier four-tube superhet, the model 80, although it still has only four tubes it is super sensitive and plays loud and clear. It has a giant (for its size) 8" speaker where the 80 had only a 5" and sports a clock dial instead of the older window type. Completely restored including the Bakelite and metal caps all cleaned out and restuffed with new ones and all resistors replaced as well. The speaker has been reconed as well. Fully aligned and ready to go. External antenna is required but with a polarized plug and Y2 safety capacitor, a ground wire isn't necessary. Approximately 18 pounds packed. |
