THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
I have not been able to find the model number on this one so I don't know the exact year it was manufactured. The original Music Master company went out of business in 1926, but the tubes and styling of this set date to the early thirties so my guess is that it was a trade name for a company that may not have lasted too long. The chassis shows evidence of possibly being manufactured by Gilfillan Bros. in Los Angeles; the wire bundling resembled their work, but that isn't by itself conclusive. Anyway the radio has been completely restored, all new resistors and caps have been installed, and it plays loud and clear and it picks up all the local stations with the antenna wire supplied. Cabinet finished in lacquer. 13"H x 10"W x 9"D (hey in the early 30s this was small). About 18 pounds packed. |
