THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a radio that Stewart Warner offered in 1939 to the college trade. The radios were offered in several two tone color combinations which corresponded to popular US universities. Here is your chance to have a custom restored radio in YOUR colors. That's right, the radio is fully restored, plays loud and clear, guaranteed, and the pristine Bakelite cabinet is primed and ready for your custom paint job. Just give me the color scheme you are looking for and I will match it the best I can (limited to colors available in rattle cans). You can even put your college decal on the top after you get it... The radio has original Bakelite knobs/buttons, and a new cloth cord with repro Bakelite plug. The chassis used to be "hot" but I have made it "cold" by running a common bus. The back is a reproduction, made of clear acrylic and the bottom panel is the same. Really looks cool when it is playing to see the tubes light up inside. The model number of this set is anywhere from 97-561-S to 97-569-S (depending on the color scheme). Weight packed will be about 11 pounds. |
