THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This pre-War Delco comes with a beautiful walnut waterfall cabinet and a large very colorful oval dial with a solid bronze escutcheon. The radio was originally made for 6 volt battery operation, but I re-engineered the entire power supply as well as substituted more powerful tubes in the audio section. It now has push-pull 41 pentodes and it plays loud and clear. It picks up many stations with an external antenna. I wasn't able to get any shortwave stations but I did get the tone from my signal generator on both SW bands. Perhaps a better antenna will do the trick. The radio has been fully reconditioned with new caps and resistors where needed etc. and my guarantee applies, (however only on broadcast band). This is a pretty large table/mantle radio at 19-1/2"W x 11"H x 9"D. Weight, 27 pounds packed.
