Zenith 4-B-314 (1939)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Zenith 4-B-314 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a very popular Zenith with its extreme Art Deco lines so vogue in the late 30's. It was originally designed for operation on 6 volts such as a car battery, but The power supply has been completely re-engineered and modified for AC operation on 115 volts. For this reason it is actually a five tube radio now not four as the model number depicts. I also added a 1/4A fuse under the chassis protecting the transformer. The radio itself is completely restored and plays loud and clear. It picks up stations my more modern sets can't get just with the 8 foot wire antenna (included). The knobs and buttons are original save one button (a repro). Since the original back was missing I made one from acrylic so you can show off the inside including the ST type tubes (coke bottles). It also has a new acrylic dial lens, and an added dial light.
