THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Cute little set from the late 40's. When miniature tubes had just come out (for AC service) many companies simply put different sockets in their old clunky chassis. This set is a true innovation, as the cabinet shrunk with the cutting edge tubes of the times. Sort of a "moderne" style with its jet-age like star grille, this natural unpainted jet black cabinet shines and is a great contrast to the gold perforated metal grille. The radio plays loud and clear, fully restored as all my "Attic" radios are, and my guarantee applies. There are a couple of hairline cracks in the left side, so small they can hardly be seen in the photo. They have been professionally repaired on the inside; I guarantee they will not spread. |
