THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Beautiful Art Deco model from mid 30's sports a very colorful dial with a watch fine tuning pointer, three bands and a side waterfall cabinet. Radio has been completely restored inside and out. All new capacitors; tubes, resistors and all components tested and radio is fully aligned. Plays loud and clear even with the 10' antenna wire supplied. The eye tube has been added and it works well. The tube is a NOS military spec 1629 type, easy and inexpensive to find. Many Airline sets of this vintage had eye tubes from the factory so it isn't out of the ordinary. Modified schematic is supplied. The dial has a small crack which has been repaired and it hardly is noticeable unless you are taking a photo of it without flash! All in all this is a very good looking set and would make a nice addition to anyone's collection. 17-1/2"W x 8-1/2"H x 9-1/2D. 24 pounds packed. |
