THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a typical 50's look with the rounded corners and unusual vertical design. It resembles the "Refrigerator" novelty this same company made eight years earlier. This radio has been fully restored with all new capacitors, Wedgwood blue paint job, heavy appliance line cord so you can use the convenience plug on the back to its full capacity. Even the tubes are all Westinghouse branded. The cabinet is plastic but the thing that is very unusual about this set is the fact that it has a chassis made of Bakelite. This is very rare to find and it marks a transition between metal chassis and printed circuit boards that came along later in the 60's. It plays loud and clear and my guarantee applies. Clock runs quietly and all functions work. About 8 pounds packed. |
