Truetone D-711 (1938)
(x tube table radio)

Truetone D-711 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Beautiful walnut cabinet in the true 30's Deco style with curves on two planes and corner speaker with decorative grille cutouts. Radio plays loud and clear on broadcast and shortwave bands. Pushbutton pre-sets work also. Radio has been completely recapped, fully restored and my guarantee applies. Brand new NOS eye tube installed. Speaker isn't original but the same make that they used (Rola); it is slightly bigger than original so it sticks out the back about 1/2" (it does sound great though). Output trans is a new replacement. Output is push pull 41 tubes. The cabinet has been refinished with toner, stain and about five coats of 90 sheen lacquer. This Truetone radio was made by Detrola, and this series from the late thirties has become very popular among collectors. It is part of a series of large table models that can outperform most tombstones and rival consoles in tone and clarity. 35 pounds packed. 20"W x 12"H x 9"D.
