THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
It is walnut veneer; I didn't refinish this radio, it looks like the original finish, I only waxed it and it looks great. There may be minor scratches etc, pretty normal for a prewar item. This radio is known as a "farm set." It is designed to work on battery power so it was sold primarily to rural residents who had not yet been wired for electricity. This radio has been fitted with common batteries that you can buy today (10 nine volt transistor batteries and one D cell)
and it plays great. It even picks up short wave with an antenna. 19 pounds. This radio has been fully restored electronically and my guarantee applies. |
