General Electric E-50 (1937)
(wood tube table radio)

General Electric E-50 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is a beautiful restored AM fie-tube highly Art Deco radio. Very seldom seen, especially in this condition. It has two bands, AM and SW (1.8-4.5mhz), that have great reception even on the 80 meter ham band (no SSB). The case exhibits different shades and grains of walnut. The front and sides are flycut giving the angle grain appearance while the top is solid. The speaker centered dial is unique and also brightly lit. Tone and volume are fantastic using a 7" electrodynamic speaker and tone control switch. Speaker cloth has been replaced also. This radio uses a long wire antenna but, the length of wire provided works great even in my rural area. Just one beautiful Deco radio by GE. View my restoration Process for more information. 12"W x 8-1/2"H x 7-1/2"D.
