Philco radios sold!

Philco 42-355 (1942)
(wood tube table radio)

Philco 42-355 (1942)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is one very nice Philco. One of the last radios by Philco at the beginning of WWII. It is very Deco with multi colored solid walnut sides and bottom side with curved veneer top. This model had a Photo type finish on the curved sides and I decided to remove it and expose the natural beauty of the wood. One very striking radio. It has two claw feet in front which are lighter and contrast very nicely with the rest of the radio. Push Buttons (9) control ON/OFF, Television band, four preset AM, BDCST, SW (9-15.5 MHZ), FM (the old FM-1 band). Separate Bass and Treble controls allow very selective tone control. The dial bezel has been replaced with a new one and the dial which is lit is original and perfect. This is a transformer powered radio and has great selectivity and sensitivity using a 6" electrodynamic speaker and eight tubes .View my restoration Process for more information. 20"W x 12"H x 14"D.
