THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Truetone was the radio manufacturer for the Western Auto Stores. This is one very Deco restored example of great American craftsmanship. The speaker grille is solid swirled walnut resembling a chevron and is surrounded by a light colored border, along with its highly swirled dial bezel and surrounding walnut veneers, it displays very nicely. Reception on both AM and SW is great using a supplied antenna wire but is even better with an external antenna. There are four operational push buttons for AM selection which are very easy to program. The dial light is outstanding, illuminating the complete dial area. Also has a very effective tone control that really works! The SW switch is mounted on the rear of the chassis which is common to radios of this period. Just one really beautiful Deco radio. Click on my Restoration Process for more information. 13"W x 8"H x 8"D. |
