Stromberg-Carlson 130U (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Stromberg-Carlson 130U (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is an extraordinary example of the most sought-after tombstone from this stellar factory. Long known for both scientific equipment and telephones of the finest quality, this factory branched into a fine selection of radios during the Depression. The model before you are a sophisticated seven-tube super-het offering both broadcast and shortwave. Note the brightly lit back painted detailed dial, which lit at night is fantastic. This particular example retains a fine factory original hand rubbed satin finish. The craftsmanship is perfect. The speaker cloth is factory original and the ornate wood knobs originals. The chassis was completed and restored by my professional technician and the radio is a fine player. He added a reproduction power cord (cotton/silk) exactly as it was when it left the factory and a new Bakelite plug for safety. As with all of our radios, a mini-jack has been added for your connection to any modern device. This will allow you the option of an unlimited choice of content in all a scarce and top-drawer radio! Bluetooth is available! AM transmitter and Bluetooth options are available starting at $25! Click here for details! 20-1/8"H x 15"W x 10-3/4"D.
