Philco 70 (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philco 70 (1933)

NEW!Long recognized as the classic cathedral radio, the Philco 70 is a beauty. Designed by the famous Edward Combs, the "70" was the next to the top of the line. This seven-tube powerhouse is a tremendous super-het. The radio had the very latest technology. The condition is really remarkable and had been professionally refinished in a dramatic high luster hand rubbed lacquer. Overall, this is one of the nicest original condition examples I have had. I needed to replace the weathered speaker cloth and with a period correct reproduction. The knobs are original to the radio. My professional tech has done a complete and perfect repair. The radio plays loud and clearly with an excellent level of selectivity. These Philco sets are the best performers. He installed at no charge a mini-jack for your modern device. This will allow you to listen to any content of your choice. This will allow you an unlimited choice of content which will allow you to use this with your iPhone, smart phone, iPods, or record player. AM transmitter and Bluetooth options are available starting at $25! Click here for details! 18-1/2"H x 16-1/2"W x 12"D.   $895.00. (0961822)
We proudly announce a terrific additional item to our shop!  This is a low battery power full FCC compliant am transmitter!  It will work with all of your radios and the ones purchased here.  In addition, it is also a Bluetooth device and digital fm receiver.  Now you can finally listen to FM through your entire radio collection!  THESE ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WITH A PURCHASE OF ONE OF OUR RADIOS FOR ONLY $99.99!  Giving these innovated products a complete test both I and my tech give the device two thumbs UP!

All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
