Here is an attractive and uncommon model from Detroit Radio. The radio has a much tailored form, and plays extremely well from a six tube super-het chassis. The radio sports a dramatically lit oversized dial. In a darkened room the bright multi-color and detailed dial is a standout. The speaker vents the sound from the right side of the cabinet and with a full range 6-inch cone the sound Is quite good. The cabinet has been refinished and has a dramatic look, with Sherwin Williams' high gloss piano finish and a deep rich espresso coloration. The radio sports an accurate reproduction speaker cloth and factory installed Bakelite knobs. My technician has completed his professional repairs and the set plays as new.
