Philco 90A Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)
Philco 90A Cathedral (1933)
NEW!Long recognized as the classic cathedral radio, the Philco 90 is a beauty. Designed by the famous Edward Combs, the "90" was the very top of the line. This nine-tube powerhouse is a tremendous super-het. The radio had the very latest technology, pre automatic volume control. Clearly the radio is an older and skillfully refinished cabinet. It has all the factory-installed parts and accurate reproduction speaker cloth. The radio has been refinished with a high luster, hand rubbed lacquer finish. Note the high gloss piano finish. This is the most desired model of this radio. Using a pair of #45 triode tubes, the radio is extraordinarily robust. In addition there are pair of blue Arcturus tubes, a genuine rarity! The markings on the dial show clearly when the radio is on. Note how dramatic the book-matched veneers are highlighted on the front. My tech has done a complete and perfect restoration. The radio plays loud and clearly with an excellent level of selectivity. He added a mini-jack for your auxiliary input device. Bluetooth is available for an additional $25! 19"H x 17"W x 12"D.  $1,295.00. (0961757)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
