Pilot G-184 (1939)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Pilot G-184 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a sophisticated collector quality radio. Pilot Radios were some of the finest ever made, but with limited distribution, not as well known as other makers. This radio was production from the Long Island factory and both cabinetry and electronics were some of their finest. What you have is a superb eight-tube super-het chassis offering three bands with a brand new super sensitive green tuning eye. We call these style radios Cyclops for the placement of the eye tube in the middle of a delicate grille. The cabinet is of the finest quality and has been refinished in the latest Sherwin Williams super glossy lacquer. I have pictured the radio with the full factory back. It is unusual to see these backs as they were a cardboard material which usually is destroyed or removed. As imperfect as it is, I have reinstalled it for the complete authentic appearance. My tech has returned this wonderful radio to perfect operation. His work included a mini-jack to allow your connection to any modern device. Bluetooth is available for only $25.00 additional! 20-1/4"H x 15"W x 12"D.
