Detrola 148CP (1939)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)
Detrola 148CP (1939)
This is an unusual radio. The radio is quite remarkable with a brightly lit and dramatically oversized multi-colored dial. The radio looks to have two speakers, but it is for appearance purposes, as it has a singular 6-inch full range speaker mounted on one side. The radio is a seven-tube advanced super-het with a brand new super sensitive tuning eye which winks from station to station. I love this kind of chassis as it offers a tone control. The cabinet has been refinished in the new Sherwin Williams high gloss lacquer. The piano type of finish really enhances the remarkable veneers used. The speaker cloth is period correct reproduction and the Bakelite knobs are correct factory originals. Please study these detailed photos to be sure the condition will meet your approval. My tech, with 50+ years of professional experience has done a fine job returning the radio for a factory new electronic performance. He added our 3.5mm mini-jack for the ability to use the radio with any modern device, so you can use the radio to listen to an unlimited choice of content. Add a Bluetooth receiver for only $25.00 additional! 18"W x 12-1/4"H x 10"D.  $995.00. (0961752)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
