This is one of biggest and most powerful of the iconic Zenith "black dial" tombstone radios. The radio is quite unique as a previous owner has replaced the American walnut face and top with beautiful tiger oak. This has created a one of a kind appearance! The knobs are the iconic "Z" wood knobs highlighting the large and colorful back dial for which Zenith was famous. Everything operates as perfectly as you could wish. I noted the tremendous eight-tube super-het chassis plays in a dramatic fashion and even the targeted tuning ball moves actively, which is seldom seen. My technician has completed his repairs and commented on how fine the work was and the tremendous performance of the radio. Adding a mini-jack to allow you to connect any modern device or a Bluetooth receiver. This is a very large and impressive radio, and with the large speaker and cabinet it offers a large room sound.
