The Western Air Patrol radios were manufactured by Gilfillan in Los Angeles for Western Auto Supply, that at the time had about 150 stores west of the Rockies. This is a powerful seven-tube receiver with two shortwave bands along with broadcast AM. The brightly lit dial is multi-colored and highly detailed with the various bands and station identifications. This deluxe receiver also offers an excellent tone control to allow your tapering of the sound quality. The radio is very complete and in factory original condition. The speaker cloth is period reproduction. A couple of scratches from 85 years of service make it a fine example. Bluetooth is available for only $25. 23"W x 12-1/2"H x 13-1/2"D.
