THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a modestly sized and high quality radio made by Howard Radio from Chicago. They were a smaller and higher end factory of the era. Still in the clutches of the Depression, they had a limited business because money was so scarce. The radio is a five-tube super-het and offers two bands. The cabinet is classically styled using American Walnut and it has a high luster refinish. The speaker cloth is the original factory installed along with the Bakelite knobs. My technician enjoyed his repairs to this set. The quality that was universal to their product line makes for a perfect restoration. Note the unique copper chassis, expensive, but this factory was known for quality. A mini-jack has been installed to allow your connection of any modern device for the unlimited content available by remote players, phones, pads and computers. Bluetooth is available for only $25 additional! 15-1/2"W x 9-1/2"H x 9"D. |
