Pilot U225 (1936)
Pilot U225 (1936)
NEW!Advanced collectors know the Pilot radios were some of the best radios ever made. This radio is quite unusual as it clearly was intended to be an export model. Note the dramatic oversized dial, brightly lit by four bulbs and highly detailed with stations from all over Europe. The radio measures by the dial frequencies in meters rather than in kilocycles as common on domestic sets. The radio is a domestic 120 volt model, so it is perfect for American use. The cabinet is a dramatic one, in factory original condition. Showing a bit of wear as one would expect. All of the balance of the radio is original, speaker cloth knobs etc. You can see the brass escutcheons around the controls, left in the perfectly aged states. The radio is a six-tube super-het offering am, short and long wave reception. My technician was delighted with the performance with the set upon the completion of his professional repairs. He has added our mini-jack option for your connection to any modern type of device. This will allow your use of the radio to receive the radio as designed or input any content of your choice. Add Bluetooth for only $25 additional! 20-1/2"H x 13-1/2"W x 12"D.  $995.00. (0961668)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
