Here is a sophisticated early mantle radio made by General Electric. The radio incorporates all of the more advanced features that took other factories a few years to catch up with. The radio is a five-tube super-het with automatic volume control. Playing both on AM (broadcast) and shortwave and a full feature tone control, the radio is a good performer. The radio was refinished by a previous owner and has a period reproduction speaker cloth installed. The finish is very unusual and rather unique. The quads of wooden knobs are factory original. All of the controls are on the front, making the radio a perfect display and play. My tech has done his professional repairs and the radio is a fine player. His replacement of the aged internals should offer you many years of fine use. His repairs added a mini-jack for a direct connection to any modern device or should you choose add Bluetooth for only $25 additional! 13-1/2"W x 9"H x 9"D.
