THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a terrific radio. Made for Sears by a fine Chicago factory, Wells-Gardner, this high quality radio is a tremendous player. The sophisticated eight-tube super-het chassis is highlighted by a brand new green eye tube which dances as you tune between the stations. The radio also offers a unusual tuning dial which in the time was called a "telephone dial," which was similar to the type of telephones of the era. The radio was refinished by the previous owner and the work is superb, with reproduction speaker cloth. The balance of the Tenite knobs and escutcheon are originals. The dial cover is a replacement. This is a rather large table radio, which along with the large chassis and speaker, offers a dramatic sound. The unusual form will also delight you as it unique. Add Bluetooth for $25. 23-3/4"W x 14-1/2"H x 12"D. |
