Triangle Industries 500 "Imperial" Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Triangle Industries 500 "Imperial" Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is one of the flagship models from this factory. The model 500 is named "Imperial" as their top of the line offering. The radio is a real stunner, offering one of the most decorative and colorful brightly lit dial. The condition of the radio is remarkable, with a excellent refinish from an earlier owner and the factory installed speaker cloth and wood knobs. The radio is a decently sized set with a five-tube super-het chassis and playing both Broadcast (AM) and shortwave. The company was well known as a contract factory servicing Sears under the Silvertone label and Western Auto as "Truetone." They saved the best for their own label and this compact radio is a perfect example. My tech has completed his repairs returning the electronics to a "like new" playing condition. His professional efforts included adding a mini-jack to the circuit. In addition to the two original bands, you are able to connect the radio to any modern device. Listen to any content of your choice from your phone, pad or computer. Add Bluetooth for only $25 additional! 16"H x 12"W x 9"D.
