Truetone D-713 (1937)

Truetone D-713 (1937)
This is one of the most distinctive radios from this era. Called by collectors the "Tulip Grille" for the floral motif of the speaker opening. The radio is a fantastic player made by Detroit Radio (Detrola) for Western Auto. Contained is a wonderful seven-tube super-het chassis playing on AM and Shortwave. The radio has a full range 8-inch speaker with tone controls, allowing a terrific listening experience. Note the oversized 6-1/2 inch multi colored dial with the double bulb stationized dial highlighting the clear channel stations. The previous owner has refinished the cabinet with replacement speaker cloth. His work was excellent. His attention to detail was fantastic! Les has made his professional repairs and returned the radio to a like new performance. He has added a mini-jack to allow your use of any modern device or add a Bluetooth adapter for only $25 additional. 20"W x 10-1/2"H x 9-1/2"D.  $799.00. (0961471)
All of our radios have preinstalled mini-jacks at no additional charge.  These are installed with no damage to the integrity of the radio or cabinet damage.  These will allow you to input to your old radio from any modern device.  These include phones, pad and computers.  I enjoy listening through my broadband connection.  My favorites are: pandora.com, iheart.com, and internet-radio.com.  The content is prerecorded, live FM, and shortwave and free.

NOW!  Bluetooth adaptors available with a simple add on.  The cost is $25.  Stream audio to your radio from any Bluetooth enabled device.  The range of these units is 25-30 feet.
