Lafayette D36 (1939)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Lafayette D36 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Lafayette Radio was one of the premier catalogue sellers of yesteryear. Consumers of the day ordered from catalogues like we buy on the internet today. Lafayette bought their products from a good number of suppliers, often the better quality factories and had the sets labeled as a house brand. I sense this radio was made by Emerson Radio, as the cabinet is very ornate and emulative of the Ingraham Cabinet collections offered. The detail and craftsmanship are clearly apparent. The radio is a quality receiver with AM and Shortwave, with a super sensitive green tuning eye. The six-tube chassis is well designed; the radio plays very well. The radio has been nicely refinished with period correct replacement speaker cloth. The wood knobs which are engraved with the functions are factory originals. Les has completed his professional repairs and all is ready for you to enjoy. Les added our mini-jack for your use of any modern device to allow and choice of content you might to listen to. There is so much free music and radio stations on the internet, plus you can connect you phone, pad or computer. Add a Bluetooth device for $25! 17-1/4"W x 9-1/4"H x 8-1/2"D.
