With strong design inspirations from European Gothic church styles, this is a classically designed radio. The openings of the grille resemble church windows and there are columns on either side. The radio cabinet has been refinished by a prior owner and is in a dark red mahogany stain. The work is pretty good and the radio has replacement period correct speaker cloth. The knobs are the correct factory installed wooded embossed pattern. These radios were extremely well designed eight-tube super-hets that offer a great deal of sensitivity and a dramatic sound. The radio is designed to play Broadcast only. Les has completed his highly professional repairs and the radio is a powerful player. Les added a mini-jack to this set allowing your modern input device such as a phone, pad or computer. With one of these devices, you can select any content you wish and enjoy an unlimited amount of content. 19"H x 14"W x 11"D.
